Can a hippy eccentric like Keith Thurman be a boxing star?

Thurman is a unique character in boxing, he doesn't live a world star hip hop life infatuated with status and shallow material things.

He plays the flute every morning, feeds birds, reads books under a tree indian style, rides a moped, bought a Prius, likes to meditate for at least and hour a day, doesn't drink or do drugs.

Will this type of guy be able to be a star in boxing or would he be to weird to have a fanbase?

....and don't forget his "lisp". That lisp is part of his personality. Market him the right way and he could definitely be a big star.

If he kept knocking motherfuckers out Chandler Bing could be a boxing star.

As long as he keeps talking that talk, and coming to push for stoppages, he'll be fine.

Thurman is the type of star that could thrive on that primetime PBC stage; unlike Broner, who seems unwilling to clean up the act all that much, let alone push a fight.

As long as he keeps dropping these alleged top welterweights. He will become a star.

Yes he can. He is fairly well grounded and conducts himself well In the spotlight. I actually find him really funny the way he speaks in interviews etc etc.

Oh and lets not forget his boxing ability!!!
