Rostock, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany - Top heavyweight contender Denis Boytsov (36-1, 27KOs) continued to rebuild himself, only needing only two rounds to stop trialhorse Irineu Costa Junior (16-4, 14KOs).

Time to schedule another fight for Boytsov in the next couple of months, keep his ass busy to re climb the rankings.

Hopefully, we'll get Braehmer vs. Kovalev now.

You're joking. Braehmer would never come close to Kovalev. He just went to war with a C-level slap-fighter who lost every round to Cleverly in his only other legitimate fight. Sauerland will continue feeding him cupcakes in Germany until he retires or Sauerland finds someone who can make even more on the German gravy train circuit

          I agree.

Boytsov was looking like a top HW contender around the time he beat *****ko, but after that he regressed because Universum had him fight stiff after stiff, and kept him inactive by times as well.

Now he's in shape, Sauerland should have him fight OFTEN and against some decent opponents.

Doubt it, Braehmer looks like he's content sitting in his corner of the world with his meaningless title.

Funny how boxing is always different to the eye of the berholder. The reporter States that Brahmer was outboxed, which certainly wasn't my impression. I had him clearly in front on my card at the time of the stoppage.

Anyway rumour has it, that the somewhat fleshy looking Brahmer is contemplating a move down to 168 for a megafight with Arthur Abraham.
