I think some of the rabid fans were so quick to jump on what looked like Mayweather refusing to co-operate, and ran with it. Looks like they leaped before they looked and aren't man enough to just say they got it wrong.

SMH Pacquiao fans are THE most idiotic fan base ever in boxing history. Grant it that EACH fan base in boxing has its own flaws but these guys do make history everyday with reversals. I can't put anything as simple as saying I can't wait until Pacquiao retires.

This was a massive propaganda victory for Team Pacquiao.

It got a lot of coverage on multiple major media channels with titles like:

"Mayweather refuses to pay $5 million if he fails blood tests"

This was the only type of coverage that it got. Only the minor blog "FraudHype" gave any coverage to Ellerbe's rebuttal. And Arum's correction of Kontz is not being reported either. These last two communiques weren't dramatic enough to warrant news coverage from the mainstream media.

Smart move - and huge propaganda win - by Team Pac. Low cost victory at that. Low effort high reward for Pac.

Sounds like Arum thinks that Floyd might be the one testing dirty. If he were worried about Pac in the least, he would have agreed with Kuntz' proposal; however, he didn't.

If anything, it shows that Kuntz maybe really doesn't know what the hell he is doing. Either he never read the contract or he was trying to get an additional 5 million on top of all of the other penalties. If Arum is willing to publicly throw him under the bus then maybe he is just dumb or the Bobfather doesn't care too much for him.

Michael Koncz works directly for Bob Arum.

He draws a monthly cheque from Top Rank.

That is not in question, Visionquest already proved that in writing.

Arum responded the way he did because the $5mil penalty thing is just a silly PR stunt that backfired, and Arum has distanced himself because he does not want to be involved with it.

Either that or Bob Arum is sticking up for his close friend Floyd Mayweather?
