Beterbiev was rocking Atoev, guy is an animal, got robbed in this fight like so many others. Was getting hit but just walking through him, they look like they're in two different weight classes, Beterbiev throwing him around the ring like nothing.
A couple years later Atoev moved down to middleweight and Beterbiev up to 201lbs.

I don't care how good Beterbiev is, he's 7-0 he needs to chill out. I know there's a trend with great Olympic boxers schooling veterans (Rigondeaux-Donaire) and holding their own against other more season pros (Lomachenko-Salido), with very few pro fights but it's only a matter of time before that ends up taking the wrong turn. I would stay away from Kovalev until i'm like at least 20 pro fights in and have already felt what real pro power is without headgear. Betebiev destroyed Cloud, and will likely demolish Campillo too but Kovalev is too early. This is a guy who easily beat Hopkins and KO'ed Pascal. Kovalev is on a whole other level from Cloud and Campillo.

One think I know for sure, this won't be a mismatch in favor of Kovalev even now. Artur was able to hold his own against Oleksandyr Usyk! Kovalev can't do shiiit.

They fought in the ams? Wasn't aware of that...or I just forgot, because thinking back now it does ring a slight bell. Have you got a link to that result?

Hopefully we get to see Kovalev/Stevenson while Beterbiev picks up more pro experience. Not sure Beterbiev will be able to make LHW for much longer though, so they'll probably try to push for a title in the next year. Since him and Stevenson are in the same camp, that means Kovalev.

beterbiev to me seems like just a massive roider, i dont see how one could be that strong all over naturally

crap boxer, but like a tank so who knows, i'd favor kovalev to beat the sht outta him before he could land anything too big but there might be some scares when he turns into a bulldozer

Usyk beat him both times, once in the Olympics and the other in the world champs in 2012. They were close fights though.... I'm sure you could find the video on youtube

Pfft. Merely a flash in the pan. Aducknis saw Sergey coming and he preferred flushing himself down the toilet as went his career.

Well the Cloud fight was the first one where he actually made 175 and he was a HW in the AMs, so I don't think it's real easy for him.
