oh and, by the way, murray-martinez got 700k viewers; murray-golovkin got 860k viewers.
    dont avoid the question:

what exactly does GGG prove by beating chavez, who had a questionable decision with bryan vera ffs, rather than dethrone the reigning lineal champ at 168?

How can you be a small middleweight when you weighed in at 155lbs for a 159lb catchweight fight? He is below a small middleweight. Cotto is a comfortable Jr Middleweight and no MW title will change that.

And what fighter is using that reasoning not to fight GGG? Cotto? Sorry, doesn't hold water because Cotto is a MW title holder and should be defending against the best in the MW division, PPV or not. Once you hold a title in a division it becomes a matter of honor to defend it, not a matter of money. Cotto has no honor.

How is GGG a hypocrite in wanting to fight Cotto for the lineal title in the division where both are title holders? It should be a manner of honor, but as I mentioned about, Cotto seems to be lacking in that area.

            rios can fight 168.

            he's probably heavier than cotto.

Oh so Golovkin is the only one allowed to use PPV and money as an excuse but Cotto has to fight for "honour".

Its GGG s best shot at ppv standing, beating the biggest ppv star above Canelo weight. Everyone wants Chavez for that reason: Ward, Froch, Hopkins.. Plus he's not busy with tuneups till 2016 at best

What does he prove? Not much. He just earns a very good payday and shuts up Chavez Jr.'s big mouth once and for all. Chavez may vanish completely for a year or two to get over the embarrassment of his beating after the fight is over considering all the crap he has spewed on twitter.

It's more than he would prove by kicking Ward's ass because all of Ward's fans will start making excuses about ring rust and how Ward needed a couple of tune up fights first and he was nowhere near his best after such a long lay off.
