Light heavyweight contender Igor Mikhalkin (16-1, 9 KOs) is on a hot roll recently. Rated #8 by the IBF and holding the EBU 175-pound title, Mikhalkin ventured to France this past Saturday and showed his best skills in a nine-round blowout of aggressive but china-chinned Frenchman Hakim Chioui.
According to Igor’s manager Vyacheslav Karakash, Mikhalkin, 29, will make his ring return either in May of in June.
“Our goal is a world title fight for Igor”, he added to Sports.Ru.
