    badblood gives you another.....

....HW to watch for. Chauncy "The Hillyard Hammer" Welliver (29-3-3 11 KO's) WBC youth HW champion. He is 22 years of age and is trying to get fights. He has a bout on 3/30/06 against Cliff "Twin Tyson" Couser (25-10-2 13 KO's) Welliver is a self promoter and looks for fights anywhere he can find them. Alot of fighters refuse to fight him with names like Calloway, Briggs, Zubraman, Chapman, Blevins. He is a midwestern fighter who fights out of the state of Idaho. The WBC was to order the defense of his youth title against Oleg Platov (20-1 17 KO's) but could not come up with a purse bid and the fight was called off.

Chauncy has called out Stacy Goodson's entire camp of HW's but no calls from Stacy has been returned. Welliver hopes to stay busy and hopes that he get's lucky to showcase his skills with a call to be a late sub for a big fight.

        Chauncy Welliver

        Chauncy Welliver:

        http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=50877

is on a nice winning streak and is a very busy fighter. His weight fluctuates rather a lot though, and at 6'2" he seems to be very heavy, weighing in the 240 to 286 lb. range for his last 15 fights or so. He's fought mostly 6 and 8 rounders and in spite of his size most of his fights have gone the distance. On paper he doesn't look like a world class fighter. That might not mean much though since he's young. He turns 23 next month. Maybe with the proper training and conditioning he could become something.
