Lmao that is the worst matchup ever for walters donaire had more of a chance vs rigo that walters does.

I don't think walters would win a round vs rigo tbh.

        Walters destroys him.

Rigo's defence is overrated, he's been slapped around the ring by C and D level fighters. Walters would hurt him.

Rigo is likely to survive all 12, but you have to admit he's been hit in recent fights and been down.

Walters floored Donaire, who knows what would happen to the much smaller Rigo.

Exactly. Rigo is good, but only a fool would deny that Walters destroys him.

Why do people continue to make this mistake? Size doesn't mean much in boxing unless we are talking about a huge difference. I understand we have weight classes but alot of small guys can beat up on bigger guys. Go watch Manny vs. Oscar. Watch almost any Tyson fight in his prime. It's about talent and skill. And Rigo is a good enough fighter to offset a 3 inch height disadvantage.

I don't think its a good matchup for Walters to look good. He is fairly orthodox. He has incredible power, but he it all comes from very normal angles.

Very little chance of him throwing anything that would surprise Rigo. He also is one of those fighters that plants their feet to unload their power, so tracking down Rigo would be a bit of a task for him.

Would be an interesting fight, Walters has a big enough size advantage that reach would play a major factor in an actual fight, so it conceivable he could win a decision just with his jab and keeping rigo from being active.

But as far as actually outboxing him, or having the skills to actually land on him, I don't think its going to happen.

Lets not also forget that, Walters was quite fortunately saved from getting knocked out by donaire by the bell. His legs were stiff, he had no idea where he was, 10 more seconds, and Donaire would have had him out of there.

Walters looks like a welterweight to me.

To me this is a huge difference. Walters is a future welterweight, rigo I don't think can go much higher. It would look like crawford gamboa.

Walters would obliterate Rigo, how anyone actually believes Rigo could dance around Walters' effective jab and power shots is beyond me. If lesser fighters can catch Rigo off guard, I'm sure a more composed KO machine would do the same and put him down for good.
