Canelo-Kirkland and Gomez-Soto. Those 20 000 are gonna get their money worth.

So they have 40k since tickets are being sold for $2.00 for a family of 12. Canelo can only get the Mexican people to attend his fights. They are loyal to bums like him because he'll make sure they can afford to buy tickets for his fights. Now for a additional 50cent they will be able to afford ringside seats.

This is gonna be a great fight! I am rooting for Kirkland. Canelo hasnt been in the deep waters and I am hoping a motivated Mandingo Warrior can drown him there.

            no idea.

they sold 10,000 of the 40,000 seats for that Alamodome fight at $10; to that, you can bet that there were still a decent amount of comped tickets too. 25%-30% of the tickets being in the bottom two rungs isn't that much of a stretch.

Cotto charged $50 for the face value cheap seats, and still put over 20k people into the building; charged $400 for face value ringside seats too. And that was 5 years ago, at significantly higher price than what Golden Boy is charging for their ticket.

Any idea what the paid gate was? The 20k people in attendance means nothing without real #'s including comps. 10k people could have been comped, it's unlikely but without real figures from the athletic commission it's hard to speculate if that show was a success.

The Canelo fight did very good at the gate with numbers directly from the commission, you can laugh all you want about $10 dollar tickets but Canelo is right there when people talk about the top 3-4 boxing draws in the US.

Cotto is also there but it was absurd when Cotto tried to treat Canelo like Martinez flexing A side bullshit, they are close to equal draws imo.

Yankee Stadium was scaled back to 30,000 for that fight (and did 20,000).

Minute Maid Park will be configured for 40,000.
