Comments Thread For: Klitschko Trainer: Pacquiao Could Win Split Decision

James Ali Bashir, an assistant trainer to WBO/WBA/IBO/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, says Manny Pacquiao is very capable of winning either a close or a twelve round split decision victory over Floyd Mayweather Jr. when the two welterweight champions collide for the WBO/WBA/WBC world titles on May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Bashir is not in agreement with those who believe Pacquiao will get dominated in the fight. He sees the Filipino star imposing himself in the fight and making things very close.

Anyone who predicts a split decision or MD in either direction is a complete ******. Thats just accepting corruption and/or incompetence. Oh wait...this Turd is part of camp Klitchko. suddenly this makes perfect sense.

The guy clearly says that he is picking Mayweather to win by decision. I don't know why BoxingScene are trying to mislead readers with these titles.

And mayweather isn't? They have both degraded at about the same pace it seems. People can point to the knockout loss and say that leaves him at a disadvantage, but I beg to differ because hes been knocked out before and has come back to beat fighters he was never supposed to. Barrera, ledwaba, de la Hoya were all heavily favored to win. Pacquio was something like 35 to 1 underdog against ledwaba and 8 to 1 against de la hoya
hes only 2 to 1 against mayweather
