      great forgotten fight

I saw that fight when it happened but forgot how good it was. I also forgot that Norris hit Leonard when he was down. Perhaps some recall that Norris was disqualified for doing the exact same thing much earlier in his career.

Leonard had slowed down a lot since his early 20s. I followed his whole career and remember well his fights with Duran, Hearns and Benitez.

One thing of note was how well Leonard went to the body against Norris. Leonard wasn't much of a body puncher in his prime but became one near the end of his career. It would have helped greatly if he didn't have such long layoffs but the timing was gone on his shots.

I was never a Leonard fan, so I was glad to see Terry Norris beat his ass.

Leonard had already retired multiple time before this fight, if Leonard were to fight this guy in his prime, he would have played with him all night.

You could clearly see how much slower Leonard was. Back in the day, Leonard would have caught Norris early and often. But....that's life.

The intro song, is actually the intro of the album, Mexican Gangster, by artist, Latin Circle.

The first song is by Capone, Criminal and Southcoast the song; get your stripes, album: Latino Jam Cartel

The second song is by Lil Cuete, song: loading up my gun, album: theres only one way about it
