  • Would Cotto have done better against De La Hoya than Trinidad did?

I know Tito won but the way he won wasnt to convincing mostly because DLH took the defense first approach but do you think Cottos style wouldve been better suited for Oscars style that night? I think Cotto had/has faster feet (@147) and a better jab but less heart and a smaller gas tank than Tito, so it wouldve been a lil more interesting imo.

I may hate the coke fiend cross dresser with a passion but he beat Tito with ease and if cotto fought him that night he would've beaten cotto even easier.

Nothing both KO cotto in amazing fashion...tito quicker...and DLH does that awkward ali shuffle he did against vargas.

YES COTTO PUTS UP A BETTER FIGHT!

And it's the age old "style makes fights." Tito is more George Foreman and Cotto is more Frazier. Cotto does well against pure boxers and always has while struggling against power punchers. Tito can out **** anybody but anybody that boxes defensively can pick him apart.

It's as simple as that. Cotto vs Oscar would of been a much better fight competitively imo and action wise too because Oscar wouldn't of been so defensive against Cotto.

delahoya was faster, more skilled than cotto. he also had a great chin while cotto's is not so no chance of a fluke lucky ko for cotto.

                  oscar stops cotto mid-late.

In my opinion Cotto would get knocked out by Oscar. Oscar was at his peak and a better fighter than Cotto. Trinidad was also a much better fighter than Cotto. Trinidad was a world welterweight champion at 20 years old and held that title for six years and 15 successful defenses. Then he went on to win titles at 154 and 160 with no losses in his first 40 fights before getting stopped by Hopkins. Cotto has been KOed twice as a welterweight and outpointed by wide margin twice at 154 in his first 40 fights. I think most Puerto Rican boxing fans consider Trinidad better than Cotto even though they love Cotto.
