Good call. Had almost forgot about that one. Thought Adams got a raw deal on the cards. It was a brutal fight, though. I think it took a lot out of both fighters' careers. Then Adams tried to outbox Ayala in the rematch, for whatever insane reason, and lost easily. He should have stayed with that come-forward, body attack, because it won him the first fight, or should have with correct judging.

On that night....and that night only.

Pauly Ayala had the fastest hands of any fighter that ever fought. Absolutely unbelieveable how fast he let the combos go.

                  great lesser known fights

Here are some great lesser known fights that any fight fan would like:

John Mugabi vs. James "Hardrock" Green (Feb. 1984)

William "Caveman" Lee vs. John Lo Cicero (July 1981)

Juan Roldan vs. Thomas Hearns (Oct. 1987)

Donald Curry vs. Marlon Starling (both fights, in 1982, 1984)

Felix Trinidad vs. "Yory Boy" Campas (Sept. 1994)

Felix Trinidad vs. Oba Carr (Dec. 1994)

Simon Brown vs. Jorge Vaca (July 1988)

Simon Brown vs. Tyrone Trice (both fights, 1988, 1990)

That's enough for now. If you haven't seen them you missed some entertainment.
