Insecure....? Wow! 47-0 fight the top best fighters of his time. Not beat up, washed up, screwed up, pumped up opponents to build a name for himself.
Maybe all the greats were insecure huh? Would PAC have dethroned Canelo, even fought a sharpened Maidana or rejuvenated Cotto? I don't think so.

He was most likely bought into camp for speed/skills.

You use undersized sparring partners, you dont beat them up lol.

That guy would likely be of more benefit to Pac the last few weeks of camp, for speed/sharpness..... why fakk him now, when there are likely bigger sparring partners to use for the more confrontational stuff.

Well roach I don't know about getting into mayweathers head,but you've certainly gotten into his fans heads. Roach has admitted that he loves talking trash,and means less than half of what he says,yet he manages to get floyds fans panties in a bunch. Keep up the good work

I don't think its a big deal at all. Freddie has always encouraged Manny to be dirty with opponents who fight dirty and Manny never went that route.

Its the same thing as before. We get Floyd, who is a master boxer, and part of his mastery includes knowing how to fight dirty and Roach is just preaching the same dirty stuff he's told Manny to do in the past against dirty opponents. Nothing new here.

That is all part of the game, and has happened dozens of times. There are plenty of ways to get in somebodys head, and plenty of ways to put them off their gameplan.

It is called cheating if you get caught, and gamesmanship if you dont.

But, Mayweathers response to Ortiz, is all part of the game as well..... so, there should be no tears when it comes back in spades.

Mayweather is a pure boxer, he has seen it all, and his style can accomodate all..... he is a big boy, and he is just as dirty as anyone else.

That's a good point. Ortiz fought dirty and Floyd gave him dirty back and all was fair.

Same thing applies for the big fight. Floyd does use advanced dirty tricks and nobody should be upset for Roach encouraging Manny to do the same.

Like the Maidana fight. People getting upset that Maidana bit Floyd's hand... OK, but that's what Floyd gets for smothering an opponent's oxygen. Can't only be just one guy who is allowed to be dirty.

I appreciate dirty boxing too. But that Maidana **** was all over the place. I think dirty boxing should be skilled, intuitive and most of all...subtle. That Maidana situation was none of the above. It was a **** show. I remember watching the fight with my buddies just laughing because it looked comical. Some 3 stooges ****. I could literally play that fight to some circus tunes. Kind of took the seriousness away from the sport. But stepping on toes, headbutts, sneaky shots while the referee breaks you up, pushing head down, I can **** with those.
