I believe Freddie is right on bringing up who the referee is it was a definitely a factor when floyd fought Hatton. Although Floyd was going to win regardless. Cortez wouldn't let Hatton fight his fight. I still believe mayweather is the superior boxer against pacquiao and should win but we'll see.

Manny's fights have been quite clean by both sides. The refs were a non-issue .......

but the question is, if Floyd starts to excessively hold, elbow or throw out his forearm into Manny's face or Floyd Sr runs into the ring while they are fighting then who the ref is becomes more important.

Exactly this! I can't see Floyd wanting to stay close long enough to try to tie Manny up and Manny just doesn't fight that way.

just like he fought maidana floyd will throw a combination then wrap up his opponent to keep them from punching back. This is a common strategy to a lot of fighters. Now do you understand? It has nothing to do with fighting inside or out.

The ref aint gna make a difference. Manny will either be kept on the outside or Floyd will pressure him. Either way Mannys style doesnt warrant Mayweather to excessively hold this fight.
