    25 Years Ago Today...

How many of you knew what fight I was referring to?

I didn't see this fight live. I was a kid and didn't follow boxing, but when I did, I was told about this fight and I had to watch it. This was before youtube. I bought it on VHS off ebay for like $25.

Chavez took his soul that night, he was Koed, if only if the referee was considerate, he shouldnt have stopped the fight, but I believe the ref wasnt aware of the time and made the right decision, meldrick was out!

Didn't like the stoppage but it was fair.

Anyone who ever logs on and goes into a rant about "taking risks" should go and watch this fight. Taylor lost the fight, the rest of his career, and his mental capacities by fighting the way he did in this fight.

I remember going to work Monday after it and talking about it. I was surprised at how many people in my office building watched it. Regardless of the outcome it was the kind of fight that made fans of the sport.
