You are correct they would've moved the date.... but some people don't realize that cotto doesn't give two sh^ts about the cinco de mayo weekend. Floyd would've fought anyway against anyone if it wasn't pacquiao. And lets say it was floyd vs khan.... cotto wasn't gonna go and "compete" with floyd for that cinco de mayo date like canelo and ODH wanted. It wouldn't make $$$ sense for cotto to do a fight on the same date as floyd. Freddie roach also wouldn't be able to train BOTH cotto and pacquiao. Same reason why cotto didn't fight late last year.
