Floyd vs Maidana 1

The fact that this thread keeps popping up every few months is proof that it was a close fight. I think Maidana hurt his cause and got gassed. But, I also had him eeking out the fight by a round. Floyd was never in control of the fight--until Maidana took his foot off the gas. Floyd made some adjustments late and won some rounds. I knew Maidana would cause problems for May and I was surprised he did so well. I also knew May would soundly outbox Maidana in the second fight because after losing 7 rounds he had made adjustments.

It was a close and competitive fight.

I think anyone who lets fanboyism blind them--doesn't know **** about boxing. Love the sport...not some dude.

Chasing Floyd for the entire fight while beating the crap out of him just isnt enough in Floyd's home town. So as to win Maidana was supposed to beat him to death, burn the corpse and spread the ashes in consecrated ground, then summon Floyd back from hell and beat his undead soul. Then MAYBE, Chino would have won a SD.

Floyd definitely won but he looked bad because he didn't use movement and laid against the ropes. I think he did it on purpose in order to sell a rematch.

Only thing he did different was clinch in the rematch, he was running the from the opening bell to the end of the third round when his legs turned into spaghetti.

No one can deny this. Fight was a clinch fest.

haha Maidana put a whoopin on Floyd, no doubt about it. Floyd was crying to ref everytime Maidana put some gloves on him. In the rematch he had to get stop stop bayless to make sure Maidana couldn't fight on the inside. Of course we can't forget about the glove fiasco lolol.
