Meldrick Taylor looks back at Chavez - Taylor

    Hello,

This is a piece I directed in 2009 and thought it was a good time to release given the anniversary of the fight.

    Hope you enjoy it.

It was a friend doing the shooting, but it was a Canon XHA1 with a Zeiss zoom lens.

Still breaks my heart watching this. He earned that win that night only to be robbed and I still cannot understand what the hell Steele was doing, he had too much experience to have made that call.

Great fight with a bitter-sweet ending. It's almost a cautionary tale in that going for glory is what fans love, but when it doesn't go right, they will move on, and the fighter has to deal with what might have been.

As a fan I love the action but try to remind myself I ain't getting my head punched for a living so maintain a certain level of respect with the expectation. Much respect to Taylor and Chavez.
