More than fair.
He's the man at the weight, wins over Hopkins and Pascal, took the '0' from Cleverly, Agnew and Caparello.Comment

3 slavic eastern europeans on top top. Pretty much shows eastern euros are the most badass fighters in the worldComment

Sergey's wins over Pascal and Hopkins should have him cruising past GGG, Froch, Marquez, Bradley and Rigondeaux, easily.
Marquez is an awesome fighter and all but Pacquiao was 3 years ago and since then he lost to Bradley and beat Alvarado ffs. Not impressive.
GGG is murdering everyone he faces but none of the names on his hit list are signature wins the likes of Hopkins and Pascal.
Rigondeaux has yet to face another decent name since Donaire.
Bradley lost to Pacquiao recently and had a draw with Chaves, easily surpassed by Sergey's recent accomplishments.
Hell, you can even argue that Roman's single significant victory over Akira Yaegashi doesn't even trump Kovalev's two stellar victories over proven warriors recently. Last great win Roman had prior to Yaegashi was against an unknown (at the time) Estrada and that was 3 years ago...
Damn, I see Terrence Crawford's recent accomplishments also go unnoticed. Sergey and T Bud could easily replace 2 names on that list.
When you're talking about Carl Froch you're not talking about some upcoming fighter with a couple of good wins. We're talking about a man with wins over an undefeated version of Pascal, an undefeated Bute, an undefeated Groves, an undefeated Dirrell along with the Kessler's, Taylor's, Abraham's...how are you jumping him with two solid wins?Comment

As a Froch fan I don't want to come across as biased, but I strongly disagree.

I thought twice about Froch, to be honest. The man has fought everyone and has done so much but the PFP rankings are based on what fighters have done recently as well as their overall skills and attributes.
Sure Froch has an impressive resume damn near second to none but he only fought once last year... a rematch against Groves from the previous year and he notched up a win against Kessler in 2013. In the last 2 years or so he has had 2 solid names. Kovalev has racked up 2 greater names within the past 4 to 5 months and has decent wins over Cleverly, Agnew, Sillah and Campillo over the same time span. Again, these lists are subjective so what goes for me may not go for all.
If we were talking about overall accomplishments then Froch's resume puts damn near all of the list to shame with the exception of the top 3 names. Anyway, I hope I cleared it up for you and perhaps you may not agree, but at least get an idea of where I'm coming from.Comment

He should be at 7 ahead of JMM and Froch and Danny Garcia at 10. GGG has not done enough to be in the top 10 p4p IMO.Comment
