Comments Thread For: Mayweather-Pacquiao: Jimenez Steps Up Versus Hart

Details of the epic May 2 event in Las Vegas continue to trickle out. Hours before Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao collide in what will surely land as the most lucrative event in boxing history, a pair of unbeaten prospects will clash in a super middleweight affair.

Chicago's Mike Jimenez (16-0, 10 KOs) steps up in class as he takes on Jesse Hart (16-0, 13 KOs), a second-generation fighter from Philadelphia.

“This is going to be the biggest night in boxing’s history, and the biggest night of my career,” said Jimenez. “I’m honored to be a part of it. The stage doesn’t get any bigger or brighter than this, and I can’t wait to bring the USBA Super Middleweight belt back to Chicago.” [Click Here To Read More]

Good idea, this is the type of supporting cast you should have for May 2.

Two undefeated prospects, I like it. A change from the same theme of old veteran vs. young prospect they always try to put on undercards of big events. Both should be hungry which should result in an entertaining fight.

Hopefully Lomachenko shows some killer instinct and not play around with his opponent. At his weight to be popular, you either need to have a big personality like hamed, be a good mexican fighter, or stop your opponents in dominating fashion. Unless he wants to be another Rigondeaux who can't get a fight ob big cards anymore. It's not fair but people pay to be entertained.
