Mayorga just tweeted he's fighting Ward. I hope it's not true.

That Mayorga twitter account is epic.

Most likely fake but i like to imagine it's real when reading the tweets, i can always picture Mayorga sat there with a lit Marlboro in his mouth calling everyone a ''****sex''

I hope they rather choose Oosthuzien. That fight would actually makesense since Oosthuzien is a top 10smw.

There is only about 2 fighters that I wouldn't mind seeing Mayorga face at this point, James Kirkland vs Mayorga would be great or Mayorga vs Angulo (loser must retire), either of those would not be the most technical fights, but guaranteed fireworks (even fights, winner would have a great KO moving forward).
Mayorga is a badass, but he needs to fight limited fighters, Ward is going to kill him (too big and just too good, Mayorga could really get hurt, Ward has faced bigger and stronger guys, he won easily). I remember when Ward was going to fight Pavlik (another no chancer), but right after Manny got KO'd by Marquez, Palvik walked away from the payday (smart decision).
If Ward needs a tune up, I can understand, but as good as he is it better be a top 10-15 168 pound fighter, not a old, semi retired, smaller and past-prime fighter (Mayorga or anyone). Ward has cleaned out 168, so either cleaning it again (all belts and top contenders) or move up to 175 (where there is actually fighters that have a chance to win, bigger paydays). If Kovalev/ Stevenson happens, Ward should move up to fight the winner.

This better not be true. Ward needs a tune-up, not a 'toon-up!
