Nah man, you said this fight shouldn't have been on TV...Mohhumedi was his mandatory, he had to fight him. Ward did say he wanted to fight Kovalev next and his trainer said that he he needed a few tune-ups to get ready for the match. My point is that he made it a point to say he wanted GGG and then Kovalev at 175. Seeing as how GGG is tied up, Ward needs to move up the 3 pounds and get those tune-ups out of the way so he can face Killa Kov.

Kovalev generates a huge amount of power when it looks like his feet arent completely set, he was basically off the wrong foot when he threw that. the sound from that punch was unusual given the position he was in. That is Kovalev in a nutshell. CLipping shots can be KO's. he's got other attributes, but what still stands out to me is that he throws some of the shortest power punches in boxing.

mohameddi wasn't good but that sequence that ended it is something Ward would have to look out for. On top of what Kovalev showed what he can do in leaving a fighter in no mands land like Bhop was, he got a knockdown from it. Cant get clipped by this guy. Ward's vision is so good though, thats what make it a great fight

No doubt, he won tonight man and was robbed. It sucks but I feel he will definitely get more opportunities now. Obviously a crappy conciliation prize but this sport sucks diznik when it comes to fairness..it is a joke. Dude won the fight imo for what it is worth.
