How does this have anything to do with my post? lmao

Damn, that's a nice chunk. If the ratios are the same as the Hopkins fight, he walked away with 810K after taxes.

What do you mean what does it have to do with your post? What don't you understand of my reply?

You called her a goddess. Doesn't seem like one to me, seemed like she was dishonest or misleading in disagreeing with Kovalev in what he earned in the Hopkins fight. Why would Kovalev lie about what he earned?

She's not a 'goddess'. And Kovalev finally got paid thanks to Pascal, Pascal's promoter, and the boxing popularity in Canada.

This is more responsive. Your first post seemed like a misquote tbh. This part of the post should have been before your first post imo. Calling her a godess is not refuted by saying she disagreed with what Kovalev said he was paid. That's why it needed to be explicated.

On that note, I believe Kathy was referring to the "gross" pay and kovalev was referring to the "net" pay.

For a long time no promoter would sign Kovalev. Bob Arum laughed at him, Golden Boy turned him down, the guy fought 4 years for free until Main Events took a chance on him.

They put him on NBC against Campillo, took a chance sending him to Wales and they pressured for the Hopkins fight after Stevenson fell through. Look at him now, they've done well with him.

Good for Kovalev. That makes me genuinely happy.

Surprised Crusher got more since Pascal brought the crowd at the Bell Center and thus the majority of fan interest but whatever.

Pascal sold out the venue, and the large share of the money that actually came in was likely as a result of Canadian PPV buys, who were paying to see Pascal. What the heck are you talking about?

Doubt that Kovalev even ends up with $1m for fighting Mohamedi, lol.
