Comments Thread For: Kathy Duva on The Glazkov-Cunningham Decision

Kathy Duva and her crew at promoter Main Events weren’t surprised that the decision in Saturday’s heavyweight fight between Vyacheslav Glazkov and Steve Cunningham turned out controversial, with Glazkov winning the decision.

During the fight, she said, the Canadian broadcasters had Glazkov winning while HBO had Cunningham ahead. Observers on Twitter seemed split, with close scorecards with both men ahead, she said.

Good to read the French-Canadian commentators scored it for Glazkov.

The HBO commentators were very biased in favor of Cunningham, especially Max Kellerman, and were misleading viewers.

The same happened with BJ Flores commentary during the fights with Scott and Rossy. Flores was rooting for them, and generally ignored the punches Glazkov was landing and overstated what Scott and Rossy were doing, thus misleading people who were watching.

Now, I'm not overly impressed with Glazkov and I do realize he won't have a chance against Klitschko. But still, he now has earned his world title shot and his first decent payday.

Freedom You are wrong. Last night was a very close fight and I was actually leaning towards Glazkov based on how he finished the late rounds. The Rossy fight was very close and Rossy for sure landed the harder punches but once again Rossy faded late. The Malik Scott fight was flat out robbery and even CZARS corner admitted he was losing and lost the fight after the fight. Czar wasn't landing ANYTHING clean against Scott. You don't get credit in professional boxing for coming forward and throwing punches when the other guy is landing more clean and more frequent. BJ FLORES

Well he's Eastern European so of course you thought he won! I'm sure you thought Vasily Lepikhin won as well and was Robbed because Isaac Chilemba wouldn't allow Lapikhin to hit him clean or some type of Bull****

Cunningham won that fight, Glazkov's corner even told him he was losing. In his heart he knows he lost, just look at his expression when the final bell rings.
