Yeah he would have to pay a huge gift tax. Though they would probably not do it as mayweather giving it to them personally but has mayweather promotions doing it as a promotional event and then a business expense. If you win things from a company then the winner generally pays for the tax.

Almost any super rich person probably has an LLC for different tax reasons. Thats why even back in the day people were saying **** like mayweather promotions has no fighters ect ect but a ton of fighters have a 'promotion company', winky, cotto apparently ect. Even if they dont promote anybody it may be in their best interest to setup a company.
