Australian boxer Brayd Smith in critical condition after fight yesterday

Braydon Smith, who lost to Filipino boxer John Vincent Moralde on Saturday, is currently on life support in Australia following the punishing ten-round bout

Surprised I didn't see anything... but I've been out yesterday till evening, so maybe somebody did.

Smith is pretty bad right now and on life Support.

I haven't seen the fight yet, but I heard he was still throwing, but should've been stopped instead of going the distance. I hope he pulls through

    That's horrible.

This one of the only time people say the ref should've stopped it early.... always after the fact.

If he did stop it before, people would complain he was still standing or throwing punches.....or something.

This is a good time to remind the ignorant on here how seriously dangerous boxing can be. Next time you feel inclined to call a boxer bum remember he is putting his life on the line for a pay check yes but also for your enjoyment. I hope he makes it through this God bless.

This should be required reading for anyone who thinks the Kovalev fight was stopped prematurely last night. This could just as easily be the headline in Montreal papers this morning if the fight was allowed to continue. Better an early stoppage than an early grave.

People always take that, ohhh, better early than late tone when news like this comes up....but then it fades over time until this comes back up.

damn... hope he pulls through. From the article, it said... by the looks of it, he wasn't getting really badly hurt to call a stoppage'... But I guess those repeated uppercuts are deceiving. They cause damage.
