Isn't Kovalev now the wbc mandatory? I believe I read that somewhere. How can they enforce that with the fighters on different networks. I'm hopeful but pessimistic.

Haymon knows full well how to play this game. Took 5 years for the superfight? Wait another 5 years.

We'll see.... I think HBO will let Kovalev do a one fight deal on there since I think Haymon won't allow his fighter to go over and they don't want to lose Kovalev to anybody.

If it heads to purse bids, it's anyone's game... but I think Stevenson would be more than likely to vacate

He's closer to the end than the beginning. But I think he still has a lot left. He still has his legs, the hand speed, the power, and the athleticism. He and Kovalev both want the fight. Both of their teams want the fight. So it's going to happen. And it's going to be bigger than it would've been a year ago. Life sure is sweet.

It's going to be bigger because of everything Kovalev did. From now to then, Kovalev unified titles and beat Canada's most popular fighter

Stevenson fought some Russian bum and now a SMW

its amazing how irrelevant stevenson has become. I think after his next fight he needs to find a way to make the kovalev fight happen, which i doubt he will, so he mines well just retire

You really think Fonfara is a bum? I think he's the 3rd best behind Kovalev and Stevenson. He's long, durable, and throws straight punches. I think he's better than a 49 yr old Hopkins and Pascal. Maybe not in name recognition but in overall ability.
