I'd like to see Ward-Kovalev. I'd like to see Ward-Golovkin too. What will happen when Ward takes away their offense? You can't **** with these guys because they are so powerful, but one of Ward's best assets is the ability to take away the other fighter's best asset. This is why I'm interested in these two fights.

if stevenson agrees to the fight, why would he be stripped?
Well if he stays at SMW, it's either the Dirrels.... or Degale.

He pretty much wiped the division, but been gone long enough for others to rise.

Probably can't fight the Dirrell's though, so just degale

Who is one of the top P4P fighters? Ward? HAHAHAHAHA! He has been removed from all P4P lists due to inactivity and he will have to do some work to get back on. Two fights every three years does not a P4P fighter make. I don't know what he was ever doing on the P4P list to begin with as he is not a KO artist and has spent his entire career in one weight class and only has the Super 6 tournament as a valid resume. The rest of his opponents were nothing to write home about.

Stevenson has not agreed to the fight and he would have to get Haymon's permission to fight on HBO as that is where Kovalev fights. Not much chance of that. Haymon had Quillin vacate his title and would probably do the same here before allowing Stevenson to fight on an enemy network. Haymon will just give him his new PBC title instead.

One of GGG's best assets is taking away his opponent's offense as well. He gets hit less than any other fighter in the sport other than Mayweather. On average he gets hit with only 11 punches per round while hitting his opponent 26 times. That is called total control of the fight. Ward is a low output fighter to begin with and will likely hit GGG even less than the average while getting at least double in return.

Everyone says that GGG has never been in the ring with someone like Ward, well Ward has never been in the ring with someone like GGG either. OR Kovalev. I don't think Ward goes the distance with either.

Pacquaio has been hit less than Floyd in their last 5 fights.

GGG can't get the likes of Canelo, Cotto or Quillin in the ring, that guy needs to move up for a challenge as all his fights are boring one sided uncompetitive beat downs, if he moves up to fight Ward he loses, like the reason GGG is scared to use Ward's name any more and hasnt already moved up lol.
              I reject this premise.

GGG NEEDS to stay at 160 and build a legacy as a great Middleweight of his era. Enough of the belt-hopping and division climbing. It's boring and everyone does it. GGG has some great skills but his #1 asset is his strength and power. Those things depend on him staying at 160. If he moves up, he loses his strength advantages and some of us would always wonder WHAT IF - What if he stayed at 160? Could he have been one of the great, unbeatable Middleweights with 20+ title defenses.

Instead of emulating Pac/Floyd in weight climbing, he should be emulating Hagler, Hopkins and the like. Now WARD is different. Supposedly, he has one of those P4P skill sets that are good for moving up in weight, because he doesn't rely on his strength anyway. He should be the one moving up and challenging himself. Never mind the fact that 168 is a boring-ass division with not enough history.

Kovalev should beat Stevenson before he moves down to fight Ward in jOakland.

Why should Kovalev move down? When he beats Stevenson, he will be the undisputed light heavyweight champion of the world. It will be up to Ward to move up and challenge him for his titles, not up to Kovalev to move down.

Ward didn't wipe ****, he fought and less convincingly beat Calzaghe's left overs, got a controversial win over Kessler but I'll give him the Froch win, that was very good. One win or 2 at most doesnt mean you've wiped a division clean.

If Ward wants to go down as the guy who cleared out the division, he has to face DeGale and the winner of Ant Dirrell/Groves if that fight is still on. If he isn't gonna do that, he needs to move his ass to 175 or retire. I'm tired of boxing's premadonnas.

One fight should obviously happen before the other.
