I think Kovalev has more raw power. Golovkin delivers his punches really well on top of his natural power.

Kovalev has concussive " Knock you out " power. GGG has thudding " wear you down " power. KOvalev will most likely knock you out unconscious while GGG will break your face first before stopping you.

kovalev has that one-hitter type power where it looks like he just touches a guy once and they're out of it

golovkin does have one or two one-punch KOs but most of his stoppages are just a brutal beating/wearing down his opponent badly

Golovkin's gift is his ring presence and ability to move his opponent int he direction he wants.

Kovalev is just a freakishly hard puncher. He throws stuff that look like half assed "busy punches" and it lands like a lennox right hook.
