    Yea Murica is the Mecca of boxing. That's cool and all you you're the king of Japan but if you don't prove your self in America then who cares

      Of course not, but yes if you only fought the best in your own backyard, then that's certainly a major knock on your global career.

        Lennox Lewis proved himself in America and was always questioned and given begrudging respect. I think his place as a heavyweight is valued more now than when he was active.
