Comments Thread For: Sanchez: Sergey Kovalev-Jean Pascal a 50/50 Fight

Abel Sanchez will be an interested observer when Sergey Kovalev and Jean Pascal fight Saturday night at the Bell Centre in Montreal. After all, he is the trainer of Nadjib Mohammedi, a light heavyweight contender who is the mandatory challenger to one of Kovalev’s three belts.

And he’s not making a firm prediction on who the winner will be.

The way Sergey shoved Pascal across the stage as if he were nothing more than a middle school student makes me think Abel Sanchez, a trainer whom I respect, is dreaming.

      It's 50/50 that Pascal won't get murdered.
The prospect of a Sergey win is 100.

A shove hardly determines the outcome of a boxing match, that said I agree with Sanchez that its a competitive fight but I think Kovalev wins a decision but its not the 8 round blowout some of you are predicting because of a shove at a press conference lol. This site is funny as hell sometimes.

A shove that moves the shoved fighter so far so easily and also elicits a look of amazement from the shoved tells me that Pascal just found out what he's in for on Saturday night. To that point, Pascal had bought into the fight being 50-50. After that shove, Pascal knows it isn't.

Sanchez used to train Kovalev, and I believe Kovalev left him after the death of Roman Simakov.

He might be right about this fight but I've noticed Sanchez rarely has anything positive to say about Kovalev.
