Just an anecdote of sorts, I've seen Gonzalez fight no hopers in Tokyo a couple times. Once after his fight he came and chatted it up with some people just a few seats behind me, in simple Japanese (he didn't really seem to speak Japanese, but he'd learned a bit).

Perhaps I could have said hi and good job, but I didn't really want to interrupt.
