As long as Floyd don't get overly aggressive he can control the pace from round 1 to 12 because Manny don't have no inside fighting game either. If Manny was to some how pull it off I would give him the utmost respect but due to the style, ring IQ and advantages I would have to be really sympathetic to pick against Mayweather. Floyd by domination. He is going to treat Manny like the lil guy watch and see.
    lol, nice nuthugger breakdown grustler...

he coudnt baffle maidana (of all the fighters) at getting at him and Floyd don't really have the offense to nor the will to do so thus potshotting & clicnching is more believable..

and don't worry about Floyd being overly aggressive coz he the last time he has done that was never...which could be a huge factor if he falls inlove with his defense abandoning enough offense for points....

don't worry tho, pac has been softened by jmm not too long ago and pac might be ripe for the picking...still, this is an easy for neither...

Whoever wins the first 4 is likely to win the fight.

If Pac can't buzz this dudes head in the first 4 I fear he will lose, hahahahaha

      BUT

PAC will put JR in a Place he has never been. Jr has won against the JV team, he has NEVER FOUGHT a PRIME WELTER WEIGHT ELITE in his,,,LIFE ! LMAO !

      so

he can brag, he can hope , he can hope it won't be bad, its like the JV bull riders coming into PBR and riding the top bulls in the WORLD, they get throwed off quickly.

JR is finally facing a PRIME ELITE, a giant slayer, a 140 in the skin of a 147 and whuppin the best, like Bradley, PAC will be on his azzzzzz like a house a fire in round one, better not look away.

I love to watch JR doing his wild wide swings with his head UP, I visualize a right hook catching that chin and him crumbling to the mat.

If Manny can someone put Mayweather into a strictly defensive mode then I can see him having success because Mayweather doesn't let his hands go but rather look for well place shots. Maidana had a big 4th round in the second fight but with all his success Floyd still stayed in the pocket with the bigger Maidana. Manny is not aggressive or big and imposing like Maidana so Maidana's strategy is not going to work for Manny. Also, Floyd legs were working fine. I don't see how Roach says Floyd legs are shot. Slowed down due to age yes but shot? No.
Good post, good points. I think Mannys combos may spell trouble for May. I'm in the minority but I believe you have to fight Manny off you to beat him. You have to throw combos to keep him from zig zagging. May just doesn't do that. He bottles up, and let's the fire die before popping out. Historically Manny keeps throwing.

But it's better to be honest and give him a chance then to spare his feelings and try and have him box at a controlled pace and get whooped.
Most logical option honestly. If Pacquiao knocks down Mayweather for the first time in his career.. The embarassment that Mayweather will feel will turn to rage and I think that will utimately mean the end to Pacquiaos life that night. Shane Mosley stopped throwing those bombs when he made Mayweather knees buckled because Mayweather started rattling him, had Mosley punch drunk a couple times and if Kenny Bayless didn't intervene would had stopped him in the 8th round as well as the 10th.

The thing is though Pacquiao with his intellect and current skillset will not be able to touch Mayweather. It will only get interesting if Floyd lets Roger lead his training and he have a more offensive mind set going in to the fight and ultimately walk Pacquiao down with the high guard.

Morales knows a thing or two about backing him up...he did outbox and outfight a prime Pacquaio

seriously though, Hatton, Margarito, and Cotto don't control distance as well as Mayweather, nor do they have his defense, reach(I think Maro's was even or longer), foot speed, timing or hand speed

He really has to find a way to put Floyd in defense mode where he really isn't doing much offensively. Those gaps in rounds are usually the only time I score rds for the opponent.

Mayweather has been down before. When he hurt his hand and it touched the canvas in an early fight. Was counted as a KD.

Just like the small window that Mosley had.

The thing is, they expected Mayweather to run, and so did I..... in fact, pretty much everyone expected Mayweather to run early in that fight. I thought that Mayweather would have to use extreme movement for the first 3-4 rounds before being able to effectively establish the perimeter.

Instead, Mayweather met Mosley in the middle of the ring and traded with him, completely fakking Shane's gameplan.
