Comments Thread For: Roach: We Have To Dominate Mayweather in Round One

Roach can have the best game plan, but I've also seen game plans go out the window once the fighter gets frustrated. And let's be honest here. Pacquiao does get frustrated and wild. That's one thing I'm sure fans of both side can agree on. I've seen Pacquiao get frustrated from lesser fighters. It's really hard for me to see that Mayweather, the fighter who gets hit the least, and lands with the most accuracy, is not going to frustrate Pacquiao. So Roach might need to make some choices here. Either he goes 100% with their gameplan and believes in his fighter's discipline to stay focused, or maybe come up with a backup Plan B and C in case A doesn't work.

And pac hasnt shown any power in recent history. Pac is not a rough balls to the wall, cheat to win kinda guy. Floyd just had to deal with Maidana (he tried to kick, bite, rabbit punch his way to victory) If Floyd kept him off, he can definitely keep the smaller boxer off of him, cause pac doesnt fight that way and cant cause he's the smaller guy. And remember, Manny has never faced anything like floyd before, so he's gonna have some other **** to consider coming his way also, and his only hope seems to be "angles". He's gonna come out and bring some "angle" that floyd cant get away from and all of a sudden forget his boxing skills. Floyd is better inside, outside, and mid-range where are these suprising "angles" gonna come from? Roach is gonna try to get the crowd going wild by having Manny swing a bunch even though he's not gonna be hitting anything to try and steal a round

The fight is coming on fast because time don't stand still and we will see what both fighters bring to the table come fight night.
And, I'll slightly retract my sucker punch comment. I was a fighter, and I know it's "protect yourself at all times". But, Floyd had to throw two shots to ko Ortiz. That dude doesn't have much of a chin at all.
Again, you all think May can pick Manny apart with his right. I'm not convinced yet. Manny was wobbled by Bradley due to being out of position and over pursuing. And, let's not forget Bradley is a tough guy who has never been stopped.
A lot of Manny fans, and Floyd fans live in the past. I'm very excited to see this fight. I fear both of their fans will continue to know nothing about boxing though--no matter what the outcomeLast edited by mneronava2k; 03-12-2015, 05:44 PM.
