I also thought Quillin was a shameless ducker, but after listening to what he says here, I've changed my mind.

What he says is true. He did become bigger than his belt the moment he handed it back and it took enormous courage to relenquish that world title and turn down all that money money so he could spend precious time with his wife and newborn baby.

If Kovalev had as much guts as Quillin he would have relinquished his titles and pulled out of the fight with BHop as soon as his wife gave birth.

        Shame on you Krusher.

You have the nerve to call a man a ducker who would rather spend time with his new born child and uncle dying of cancer rather than fight? If he would have did and lost do to the distractions guys like you would have said he is making excuses.

He had half a dozen reasons for turning down the fight, after initially being excited for it, and that is just the one he settled on because it sounds best.

There is no one more qualifying of the term "ducker" than Peter Quacklin.

Well you need to recall how the events unfolded. He was all set to fight Korobov knowing the purse bid was coming due to TR & Haymon not willing to negotiate, then RN won the purse bid and Peter was all excited and bragging about it. Then there was silence and a meeting with Haymon and then suddenly he mentions his son & uncle. Those are truly noble reasons, but in all honesty he seemed to revert to those reasons as the excuse when it was really RN taking control of the event and Al Haymon losing control of the event that killed the fight.

Most men can't just take a break from their job to be around their newborn. Pete's always saying he's fighting to support his son, well he just lost the opportunity to elevate his name in a big main event and $1.4mill he'll never get back.
