Comments Thread For: Mayweather-Pacquiao: PPV Price Tag is Still Not Set

It was announced today by Leonard Ellerbe, the CEO of Mayweather Promotions, at the press conference which was held at the Nokia Theater at L.A Live - that tickets for the long awaited fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao would range between $1,500 to $7,500. However, it's still not known what the pay-per-view broadcast will be priced at.

"Being determined,"is what Ken Hershman, the President of HBO Sports told BoxingScene.com on Wednesday afternoon."I don't want to get ahead of the announcement but it'll be very soon that we determine what that is."

With all the $100 rumors it would be epic if they came out with a $65 price tag so that "everyone can afford an opporutinity to see the biggest fight in boxing history". They'd probably earn another million buys.

They saw the demand and raised the ticket prices. Don't be surprised if they don't raise the ppv price.

Wouldn't be surprised if they charged for the weigh in.

I wouldn't be surprised if it went up to $150, but I honestly believe the numbers would be higher if they did the promotion Canelo style...

$65 would not convince the streamers. Over $100 might piss people off though.
