I think Robert will take Thurman in a rematch, over the rounds it seemed as if gurrero learned how to get to Thurman. but as they say to little to late,
but if you really think about it gurrerro figured Thurman out, and Thurman had no more power in the last 3 rounds as he was being walked down!!
that being said Thurman did take a nasty headbutt that swelled him up and may have took something out of him or at least affected him!!
love both fighters but I think gurrero learned something about thuman that will help in a rematch!! the momentum was on gurrero,s side in the last rounds
but I don't think Robert or gurrero want to go through that again!!
does this fight deserve a rematch?
WTF were you watching? He lost 120-107 on TWO scorecards, 118-109 on the other. Thurman spent 9 rounds managing a severe swelling over half his head caused by a clash of heads, and still basically shuts Guerrero out not to mention drops him.
I agree, The Ghost was fighting a guy weighing 160+, and Guerrero comes in soft/(carries some fat) now at the higher weights. His ability to go toe to toe is crazy, especially with one of the biggest punchers out-weighing you by such a big margin, and Thurman is comes in ripped at the limit. IF Guerrero only had a bit more of the power he had at 130-135, he would be far more successful.
I would like to see Guerrero move back down, i think he does great in the lower weights. He has the ability/skill to hurt guys if he moves down
Excuses excuses. Both Guerrero and Thurman looked equally strong at the weigh in. This whole weight issue has been blown out of proportion by Guerrero's management who are looking for excuses. Guerrero was taller, longer, and just as muscular as Thurman. He's just a worse boxer. Period.
Guerrero's problem now is that I don't think there's a top 10 welter that he actually can beat.
this guy can take a punch, lets not forget keith was ten pounds heavier and not only that, thurman is a natural welter and has fought at jr middle before a couple of times, guerrero started at 126,thats what is impressive that he's able to take punches from these guys, thurman is a big welter, don't know why keith moved down in weight would like to see him move back to jr middle and fight Andrade and canelo, those would be good fights
Keith is a Welterweight and always has been. He only fought at jr mw when he couldn't get an opponent at Welter, even then he never made a full 154lbs.
It seems that a ton of people are confused on what a Welterweight is since there hasn't been a real Welterweight talent in a long time. Most others in the division have moved up, there's a lot of guys that don't belong.
Hopefully Guerrero can win his astounding 7th world championship and add to his collection. He's a true world champion now, was ranked in the top P4P and was also the WBC mandatory challenger lets not forget.

When exactly was Guerrero ranked in the top P4P? His limitations have been exposed and he is now a 2nd tier welterweight contender, at best. His supposed titles were a joke.

Yet you want a rematch? Are you for real?
well I guess you just read the top line of my post, cuz I addressed everything you just said!!
Robert Guerrero vs. Josesito Lopez seems like the logical fight to make if Lopez gets by Berto on Friday. Both are on the same schedule since their fights are a week apart.
