Boxing is not very well understood by the masses. Some don't even know the judging system.

Anyone who doesn't walk face first into punches is a 'runner' according to him. He has a very **** understanding of the sport.

And he has clear race/nationality biases as well. That's fine like you said, nothing wrong with supporting a countryman, but he goes over the top and is blind to reason and logic.

As for the OP, there are very few on here who actually understand the sport. I'd say like less than 10% of people on here know what they're talking about.

I mean most people still don't understand the concept of 'styles make fights'. Also anyone who can use their feet and has good defence is refereed to as a 'runner'.

Seeing as I've never been around the sport I believe that it does affect peoples views.

In my first week here I learned that Sugar Ray Robinson ******, that Joe Louis was himself a bum, that every fight is fixed, that using the ring is running, that everybody 'duks', that every fighter is over hyped trash and that the general public is far wiser to the sport than those who actually live/lived in the sport.

The general boxing public, that's where it's at.
