Why is Lara wasting time calling out a WW who is positioning himself for his first real ww title shot? Maybe if Thurman can't make 147 they can go, but Lara needs to be trying to make fights with 154/160 lb opponents IMO.

I think he's just trying to land a big fight. He called out Golovkin, Cotto and now Thurman. I think Lara is doing this because of Thurman's big performance this past weekend. But I agree that Thurman should be focused on WW and getting a shot at a title. This fight doesn't make sense at the moment.
