I didnt think Mosely would do what he did, but i wasnt surprised of what was happening after the first couple of rounds. after the cotto fight Margo was definitely reaping the rewards of that victory. I was in mexico for a couple of months before the mosely fight and i could just remember margarito making appearances at these boxing cards all over mexico for what seemed every week. on top of the fact that it was a bad matchup stylistically, the wrap issue, margarito probably didn get prepared as well as he should have. Just Remember how he reacted to a body shot early on and how pretty much it was downhill from there.

Did you think Mosley was going to beat Margarito?

Nope. I thought Marg was going to run Mosley right the **** over. Glad I didn't put $$$ on that.

Margarito was a decent fighter who became a hypejob when Arum tried to sell him as some monster, boogeyman, or a fighter guys like Cotto, Mosley, and Mayweather were avoiding
All 3 of those guys fought better fighters than Margarito so that Bull Arum was giving I never paid much attention to
His best wins were over Cotto in a fight we'll never know he won fairly, wholly average Kermit Cintron and Andrew Six Heads Lewis
Dude was a punching bag with legs...he had plenty of heart, great chin, and stamina but other than that he was not a great fighter
Most people on this site don't know **** about boxing.
Up to that point, the only fights that Mosley lost was to fighters with superior jabs, and very good skills like Winky Wright(2X), Forrest (2x), and Cotto. Some felt ODLH won the rematch or at least should've got a draw, he fought a more disciplined fight and jabbed Mosley to death
Mosley beat every Mexican-style fighter he faced, Mosley was an athletically gifted brawler, not a master boxer...Come forward types were always tailor made for Mosley...the people that wrote mosley off were the fools on the BOB ARUM HYPE TRAIN

I remember thinking that Margo would destroy Mosley. I didn't think he should take the fight in the first place. Mosley should just retire cause I didn't want to see him get smashed around the ring and beat up to a bloody mess. Boy, was I wrong. I have to say that's Mosley most impressive performance IMO.
Be honest did you think Mosley was going to pull the upset?

I thought Margarito was going to wear him out and stop him late.
I was looking forward to it to because at the time Tony was in my top 3 favorite fighters and Mosley had never been stopped before and I thought this would make history for a first timer.

Honestly yeah, I was pretty confident Mosley would win.
In fact I think I have the link to the betting thread where I picked Mosley to win if anyone wants to call me out. Just thought Mosley was a nightmare for Margarito stylistically, I did also pick Cotto over Margarito in their first fight though.

I thought it would be a tough fight. Mosley got a solid chin and was coming of a win that really showed his power against Mayorga.
But Marg was looking imperious again.
Thought Marg would win on points, Mosley slowing down in the latter rounds.
But going into the fight, Marg had problems cutting weight, and had to cut a lot late on.
Then on fight night he had the whole handwarp thing.
Mosley just landed bomb after bomb on Marg for 9 rounds. Marg definitely seemed off his game, weight drained seemed slow and sluggish.
Great fight.
