Comments Thread For: Ruenroeng-Casimero Clash May Head To Thailand

IBF flyweight champion Amnat Ruenroeng’s Thai promoter Jimmy Chaichotchuang has praised well-known trainer/manager Aljoe Jaro and his brother Francisco Jaro for “doing a great job” in helping Ruenroeng retain his title with a comfortable unanimous decision over the heavily hyped Zou Shiming of China in Macau last Saturday.

Chaichotchuang said “it was a great fight even though the result upset China boxing fans they still cheered Amnat after the fight.”

Amnat will be very difficult to beat in Thailand.
Face is a very big part of Thai culture, Thai's seem to fight harder at home as they don't want to lose face in defeat.
Fighting in front of his countrymen on current form that would be a very tough fight

Ruenroeng v Casimero unification fight should be on neutral ground not Thailand.

First off a "unification bout" generally means two alphabet belt-holders in the same weight class fight. Casimero doesn't hold a flyweight belt. Second, Ruenroeng has fought two of his three defenses in his opponent's backyard. Hard to argue, as the beltholder, he shouldn't get to fight at home if that's where the money is. He's not like Ioka, Braehmer or Sturm who only fight at home

Ruenroeng is the rightful champion and he can defend where he pleases. He has fought in Japan and China and has been successful in his ventures, it's fine if he chooses to defend at home.

Ruenroeng is one a fucking roll.

EDITED: They are trying to get him to defend in Manila? Damn, my boy gets no breathers. ABS CBN might fork out the cash doe, if so I can see it being held here in the city. Meh, Ruenroeng is the champion and gets to defend where he pleases. Would you be as upset if Casimero was granted his loss in Manila?

Casimero would be easy work for amnat in Thailand or Manila.

Ruenroeng is on an absolute roll. After this mandatory (should he win), he needs to push for a unification match with Estrada or Gonzalez. I want to see what he's got against one of those beasts.
