No. Thats why its silly to count Golovkins regular belt defenses as if hes about to break Hopkins' record.

Hopkins' record is farcical as well. He only established himself as the legitimate champion and kingpin of the division in 2001. Prior to that he was just a titlist that defended against largely underwhelming opposition.
