He isn't ready to win against Mayweather, he is ready for a payday doe.. to stand a chance of winning he needs another 2/3 fights over the next 18 months to 2 years and work on his stamina, in that time Mayweather would have aged more and lose more of his legs. If they fight now Mayweather would just out box him and he would see Thurman wild haymakers from 2 miles away.

I never got why people still bring up Margarito

Dude was wholly average, his stamina, heart and chin were his best assets. Skillwise he was mediocre and he had what like 3 decent wins his whole career. Cotto, cintron, and 6 heads lewis.
