Guerrero is a small welterweight, while Thurman is a big one.
    Guerrero was a career lightweight.

    sorta like Donaire facing Walters.

Weigh ins should take place right before the fight. Its BS that some guys naturally are much larger than others. Why have weight classes then.

At his size, Thurman should be fighting GGG.

15 pounds is big but its not excessive, its not like the 20 pound guys.

Maidana comes in above 160 but nobody says he should move up because hes short. Thurman will be able to make it for a few more years. He will just be one of the bigger welters. Style wise, he loses to canelo, so its best he tries to get whatever big fights at welter in first.

LOL I just looked it up, Maidana was freaking 165 against mayweather and nobody was *****ing saying he should be fighting GGG.

The only difference is thurman is a few inches taller. Hes hardly the only guy who comes in over 160.

Should Maidana be fighting GGG? Hes weighed more than Thurman on fight night. With no flab.

Thurman is usually 153-157 on fight night (he was 153 against Bundu just 3 months ago), he put on the extra weight because he clearly planned to move less and hold his ground more against Guerrero. I knew this would happen when he weighed in at 147 on the dot yesterday, he usually weighs in about a pound under.

Thurman is a normal sized welterweight, guys like Brook and Porter are much bigger.

Putting on less weight between weigh in and fight is usually indicative of being in tip top shape

That's a lot of weight. I think it helped him because some of guerrero's short were buzzing him. A big puncher could have kd thurman a couple of time.
