It was almost unbelievable the way Molina fought, people were asking themselves "is this a joke?".. He slowly creeps into position, gets all up in Broner's face.. only to just.. stand there? It's like he was waiting for a decent shot from Broner so he could take a dive, but Broner never landed anything good.. He ****in failed his exhibition match. God, how ridiculous is that?

That'd be understandable if Molina came out swinging and Broner started to control the fight after a round or two and Molina simply got discouraged after that... But how do you explain the first two rounds HE DIDNT TRY ... He threw like 10 punches combined. Then in the 3rd he started throwing punches and what do u know he won the round. Did he go back to doing what he did in the 3rd? Nope ... He just stopped.
I'm not one for conspiracy theories but ... That fight was odd.
I don't have a dog in the fight I don't hate broner the way most people do nor am I a Mathysse or Molina fan.Comment

I thought the exact same thing watching the fight. I definitely think the fix was in. Molina was terrible, and if he can soak up the best Mattysse has to offer and still come forward and throw you can bet your ass he can handle Broner. But I also think The Ghost took a dive too. Sure, he made Thurman open up at times, but between rounds 3-10 he did absolutely nothing. He fought off the back foot almost the entire fight, his punches were wild and swinging and telegraphed, and the ones that landed seemed to have no snap to them. Guerrero made it more of a fight, but only in small bursts. The rd10 KD was a joke, the replay couldn't even show a clean punch landing, and he almost sat out the count, and after that, when Ghost decided to try and trap him against the ropes and work him, he just kinda tied him up a bit and didn't really unload.
I dunno, I think both were su****ious but Ghost hid it better. He seemed off last night- gunshy, didn't want to exchange, didn't want to walk Thurman down, didn't throw at crucial times, made the same mistakes over and over, plus he seemed to back right off after he gave Thurman the egg head. You must've never seen Molina fight before. This is just how he fights. Little to no output for the most part of the fight. He really only looks for that one shot to put his opponent awayComment

Really, it's performances like this that frustrates me. I wasn't sure Molina would win but I figured he'd at least make it tough for Broner. Seeing him just stand there right in front of Broner and not do anything almost had me yelling at the screen.
When he fought Matthysse and Mickey Bay, he was determined to win. He wasn't afraid to take Lucas's shots so I don't see why he would be "terrified" of Broner (who has no KOs at light welterweight). In fact, I say John blew this fight more than Broner won it. He wasn't even doing what his corner was telling him. I can only imagine how Joe Goossen felt watching John fight the way he did.
I don't know if he took a dive or not but he clearly held back for some reason. It wasn't just all Broner's performance like some people think. There's definitely more to it than that.Comment

Most people here have seen Molina fight or at the very least have seen the Bey and Mathysse fights. There is no comparison that can be made. If you're not going to throw against broner why even take the fight.

Seriously, did people think Molina was Maidana?
I mean honestly I thought he would be somewhat attacking because activity has shown to beat Broner, so it's just common sense. However my ultimate prediction was the Molina would seriously disappoint, and I was right.
Even then Im extremely disappointing knowing full well that would happen.Comment
