Keith Thurman and Robert Guerrero gave a much-needed boost to boxing with a superb show in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

In the first prime-time top-of-the-bill fight on NBC in 30 years, and the debut of a new boxing series on network television, the two welterweights had the spectators on their feet until Thurman won on points.

"That's the kind of performance that wins the hearts of fans even when you don't win the fight," Guerrero said. "The fans love that and that's what boxing is all about."

I guess the bias announcers from "NBC" posted these pics cause even thou Thurman did dominate & clearly won the fight, the announcers were not giving Guerrero any credit till the end & that was cause they didn't have a choice..In the beginning they would only comment on the shots Thurman threw(even if he missed) & praise everything Thurman did & totally ignore the shots Guerrero landed. & even if the shots Thurman landed didn't have no effect on Guerrero, they kept on saying Guerrero was hurt, badly hurt or stunned. If someone was just listening & not watching they would think Guerrero was on the verge of being KO'd in every round & that was NOT the case..

In the end does any of that even matter? They may have exaggerated a bit,but was Guerrero not hurt multiple times, and did Thurman not dominate the fight sweeping one scorecard and losing two rounds on the other two. They are their to call what they see not to look for a silver lining as fighter gets dominated on national t.v. aside from Leonard I think the cast performed pretty well.

I agree the commentator were super bias, and granted all networks try to make stars out of the champs fighting in their network, but NBC made me feel their fighter were hitting a pouching bag.
to me the commentators were disappointing. the commercials in between round made me feel I was watching Friday night fights. but then again it's free prime boxing (I shouldn't complain about it) as my friend said: if is free is for me, I'll take three...

Great fight, Good show by Guerrero and Thurman. Thurman struggled towards the end, was on his bike for 2min out 3min of last rounds, which was another thing i didn't like. Thurman has good power(though i think the KD shot was a grazing shot behind the head as Guerrero was ducking), the way to beat Thurman is pushing him back, showed in the fight.

This fight saved the show, though there were still boo's throught the fight.

Yep. Sugar Ray Leonard wouldn't even mention when Guerrero landed, the bias was very obvious and I was disappointed, to bad the Networks have agenda's.

And the ref in the Broner - Molina fight was very bias and against Molina, smh. :ANYWORD:

Thurman was only taking a rest and that was in the 11th round. In the 12th, he stood his ground and fought with Guerrero.
