This was nothing like Chavez-Martinez. The last round in that fight was pretty tough and suspenseful because everyone knew the moment Sergio slowed down, he was doomed. His heart was what kept him on his feet long enough to hear the bell. Guerrero wasn't anywhere close to giving Thurman any trouble. If anything, you gotta wonder how much that KD took out of Guerrero. Like Martinez, all he could show was his heart after that. After all, if that KD happened earlier in that same round, Guerrero would have been stopped for the first time.Last edited by Mr. Punch-Out!!; 03-08-2015, 02:35 PM.

I've seen amazing energy machines of fighters totally dominate a guy for 10-11 rounds and then the bottom falls out and all the talent and athleticism come apart at the seams and then the fight moment shifts dramatically and the other, equally slowed fighter senses that and that little bit of extra comes out or he has an energy surge/reserve that is more mental than phsyical and tips the fight in his favor.
But the opposite is possible, Thurman could have had a last bit of energy or that something extra in rounds 13-15 and stopped Guerrero.
Most elements of a fight can have a double-edged sword, such as a fighter being more aggressive and turning up the heat can get him stopped because he may be more open when he is throwing, or it could take a toll on the guy being pressured who is weakened by that pressure and succumbs to it.Last edited by richardt; 03-08-2015, 04:57 PM.

lmfao you can only laugh at the bitterness on here. The ******s mocking Thurman for going to war are the same ones who were mocking him when he boxed against Bundu. I hope he sticks to boxing, theses don't deserve no treats.
Keith is fine anyway, he took very little damage in this fight other than the headbutt. He punched himself out a bit after the KD, that's why he slowed down for the last 2, but Guerrero was finished as well, he didn't have anything on his punches.

Everyone expected Thurman to box but he came out and put it on Guerrero from the opening bell, he boxed in some of the later rounds but he was still fking Guerrero up. I scored it 11-1 plus a k/d, an utter domination.
Good to hear he's healthy, was there an update then?
