How would you grade the first PBC event on NBC?

I would say a solid B. At the end of the day we got a really good main event and that's what matters.
The production needs some work, it looks too corny and they should go back to traditional ring walks and introductions. It felt out of place on a boxing card at the MGM.
Disappointed in Broner. Molina was tailor made for him to land big shots and have a spectacular KO and he still played it safe. He even said after the fight the last time he did it for the fans he took an L so it looks like he is playing it safe, which is a shame because he hasn't done anything in the sport to earn that.
They are doing 20 of these shows this year. NBC puts on Super Bowls. I have to think the production quality will increase.

I'm going with a B-/C+ because the Thurman v guerrero fight was great. I thought the entrances were not too good. Leonard was horrible. Al and marv will get better.
Broner took another step back for me. He talked about the showmanship aspect before fight then after talked about the complete opposite he has too much talent to look the way he does.
One of my boys came through to watch with me. Lucky he missed the 1st fight. He was very excited during the Thurman/ghost fight and afterwards said he wants to see the next card. So if this gets more casual fans this excited, then that's a good thing.
Molina should be banned from tv. Ghost will keep getting work. Thurman isn't quite ready yet. Broner needs to learn how to be a pro. Needs a new trainer. Bhop and ****m save his clown.

HBO and SHO, especially HBO though show us brits how production should be done - the only thing that irks me is the inherent bias but youll never be rid of that
They usually make UK shows look feeble in comparison, especially Boxnation ones, ITV and most of Sky's. If i look for video replays for any fight, id prefer to pick the HBO coverage if available, not a UK version
This PBC thing though, with the gladiators music and donning the fighters in suits, genuinely had my household in hysterics last night. It was like a mix of who wants to be a millionaire and boxing.
Just keep it simple, professional and sports-like, not a gameshow.
This first card just looked to be showing the mid-level fighters around, in competitive fights which is great. But if we are ignoring titles here, how can you do this for the champs of the division? There wasnt really any premier boxing champions on show last night, just a few contenders. World titles need to bw reformed, not attempted to be replaced. Having two systems like this just wont work

First fight was an F. Second fight was an A. Marv Albert and Sugar Ray were really bad. I wish they'd get a competent blow-by-blow guy (like Kenny Rice) and replace Sugar Ray with Flores. The lack of a ring announcer was irrelevant to me, but I wish the fighters would at least walk to the ring with the 3 men from their corner.
I hope to see a KO on the next telecast. Between Broner, Thurman, and Mares, we saw 34 rounds, 1KD, and 0KOs. That's gotta go up.

The productions will get better and if they give us good fights this could be really good. HBO/Showtime have showing boxing forever, this was PBC first card. I can't believe I am one of the only one's celebrating an Al Haymon card, its just weird reading these comments.
If this exact same card was on BAD there would be far less complaints IMO.
