  • Comments Thread For: Deontay Wilder Urges Tyson Fury To Fight Him Next

Deontay Wilder has urged Tyson Fury to target his WBC belt instead of waiting for a fight with Wladimir Klitschko.

The American has been embroiled in a war of words with Fury on social media and both men swapped insults after Wilder’s world title triumph over Bermane Stiverne in January.

Klitschko, the holder of the WBA, IBF, IBO and WBO belts, remains the top target for Fury, who has battled his way to mandatory challenger status.

But the Ukrainian will first face Bryant Jennings next month in New York and it remains to be seen if the Mancunian can land a fight against the 38-year-old this year.

I'd rather see both fight Wlad before his 40th bd. Fury and Wilder have the next decade to meet.

Ideally Fury and Wilder fight then the winner immediately faces Wlad but... We know how boxing works and how it's more likely they'd milk it for a few years.

Fury gonna duck Wilder after all the **** he talked. He knows Deontay would make him look like Khan against Prescott.

Shut your mouth Deontay, after May youre gonna be ordered to face Povetkin, either you elect to unify or defend, Fury does not come into the equation.

Povetkin-Perez doesn't even have an official date yet. Wilder wants to fight in June. Make Wilder-Fury in June. Winner fights the mandatory next.

I like Deontays attitude, it is refreshing, he really wants to fight Fury I hope. I hope the fight comes off as well, two very outwardly confident boxers of their own ability.

Fury should be offended that Deontay has become a champ before him. Fury should jump at the chance to fight Wilder.

The winner fights Wlad. If Fury loses, im sure Wilder would give him another chance someday to avenge the loss if Wilder were to go on to beat Wlad and vice versa im sure Fury would give Wilder another chance, were he to go on and beat Wlad.

This is what I'm talking about...

No disrespect to Wlad, but these two guys have the kinda of charisma that drums up interest....Who wouldn't want to see Wilder v Fury, especially now as both r young, charismatic & UNDEFEATED....

Not to mention the fact that the winner steps right into a perfectly orchestrated mega fight pitting "The Champion" of the world Wladimir Klitchko, against his unquestioned #1 ranked foe Wilder/Fury winner....

Fury & Wilder have created more heavyweight interest than there has been in quite some time ....The fact that we are celebrating guys because it SEEMS like they MAY BE legitimate challengers only speaks to the utter dominance the Klitchko brothers have ruled the division with....
